New feature addition to MuleSoft integration

The existing integration was developed further by creating a new REST interface for the client to use.

The Anypoint Platform Design Centre on the MuleSoft platform provides comprehensive tools for managing interfaces. The new REST interface was modelled in RAML.

The endpoints of the REST interface were implemented in the integration by importing the RAML model into the Anypoint Studio development environment. Using the RAML model, the development environment was able to automatically create endpoints and the beginning of integration paths.

After that, separate paths for message processing were built and the components needed to connect the target systems were added.

The Postman application was used to test the new Endpoint functionalities. With ready-made integration, MuleSoft acted as a REST interface for both the client and other parties.

In this way, a REST interface was provided for systems that do not themselves provide one.
